1 pm–2 pm
$12/ticket

Performance begins at 1 pm and is one-hour in length.
Children’s Matinees include performance and audience interaction.

Nasher Museum of Art

THE SCRAP EXCHANGE
2-4:30 pm

The Scrap Exchange will bring a truckload of colorful, fun materials for hands-on creativity. Children and adults will have fun making crafts with hundreds of different kinds of materials, and whatever they make, they can take home!

PAPERHAND PUPPET INTERVENTION
2-4:30 pm

Come see fantastical creatures and wonderful characters of all sizes as they roam the grounds of the Nasher.  You even have a chance share the group’s love for the earth and its creatures by trying on some of the creations!  Paperhand Puppet Intervention’s parades are celebrations for everyone to enjoy.

AFRICAN DANCE AND DRUMMING WORKSHOP
2:15-3:15 pm

Stafford C. Berry, Jr. and Kwabena Osei Appiagyei, members of the African American Dance Ensemble, will lead this returning crowd favorite!  Come take off your shoes and join the group in the grass to explore the history of African drumming and learn traditional dancemoves.

HOOPING
3:30-4:30 pm

Hooping is a form of movement that combines meditation, dance, circus, athleticism and play.  It is fun and accessible for all ages facilitating focus, body awareness, health and joy.  Jewels will be demonstrating and instructing with her handmade hoops.

Admission

The Nasher has graciously agreed to make admission free for everyone on ADF Community Day!

Parking

The museum’s 100-space public parking lot, east of the building, is accessible from either Campus Drive or Duke University Road. The parking fee is $2 per hour, with a maximum of three hours. The winding path from the parking lot to the main entrance is about 100 yards.

Handicapped Parking:
Visitors may be dropped off at the Anderson Street entrance, where handicapped parking is available. For assistance or more information please call 919.684.5135.
